Bomb threat at Chisinau-based Eugen Doga Airport unconfirmed; passengers' access to terminal resumed

The bomb threat announced at the Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau was not confirmed following checks conducted by specialized teams. The information was communicated by the Airport’s administration at 4:00 p.m.

According to the airport, the checks have been completed, and passengers’ access to the terminal has resumed. Boarding procedures have also begun.

“Airport teams, in cooperation with the responsible institutions, are coordinating the resumption of operations,” the administration of Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau said.

Passengers are advised to check the real-time status of their flights on the airport’s online board and to follow notifications issued by the airlines.

The Airport’s administration recommends that passengers follow staff instructions and thanks them for their patience and understanding.

The bomb threat was reported earlier in the day, and airport services and border police officers intervened to evacuate passengers and staff. Check-in procedures were temporarily suspended and specialized units of the Interior Ministry were requested to attend the scene.
