Heavy traffic at Sculeni border crossing point of Moldova; Border Police recommend alternative routes for leaving country
The Sculeni Border Crossing Point (BCP) today is experiencing a significantly increased flow of travelers and vehicles on the outbound direction from Moldova, the Border Police has said.
According to the authorities, all control lanes have been opened, in order to streamline cross-border traffic and the REVERSE procedure has also been implemented. Operations at the crossing point are being carried out at full capacity.
In the context of congestion, travelers are encouraged, if possible, to choose alternative border crossing points: Costesti BCP, Leova BCP, and Cahul BCP.
The Border Police are asking cross-border traffic participants to show understanding and patience, noting that they will provide updated information, depending on how the situation develops on the ground.
