Investments in RESTART: Territorial Social Assistance Agencies and Territorial Social Assistance Structures to be equipped with new cars

Territorial Social Assistance Agencies and Terriyotial Social Assistance Structures will be equipped with new cars. 55 vehicles were distributed today at an event attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu and MP Marina Morozova.

The 55 cars will be used for social services and conducting beneficiary evaluation, monitoring and supervision visits.

Buzu said that social workers will be able to offer services to more citizens in the territory with the help of the vehicles, especially in more remote and hard-to-access locations.

'A few years ago, there were 65 cars under the management of the social assistance system. This meant that my colleagues had very limited mobility. Now we have 164 cars; we have purchased over 96 vehicles. I am glad that today we can offer our colleagues another 55 new cars. The new acquisitions will help us expand our services nationwide and cover as many beneficiaries as possible,' Buzu said.

The RESTART reform, launched by the MMPS, aimed to improve governance and transparency in the social assistance system and to ensure uniform and equitable access of the vulnerable population to quality social services.
