Officer of Moldova's Fulger special police brigade injured after accidental shooting while on duty
An officer from the Fulger Special Police Brigade has been injured after an involuntary gunshot during duty. The incident occurred today at the Fulger Special Police Brigade.
According to the police, under circumstances that are yet to be established, the duty officer of the brigade accidentally fired a shot from his service weapon, and as a result of a ricochet, an employee of the institution was injured in the calf area.
The injured person received immediate medical assistance and any danger to life or health has been ruled out.
The police specify that the employee involved in the incident has over 20 years of service and experience in handling firearms.
An investigation has been initiated to establish all circumstances of the case and the prosecutor’s office has been notified.
