Varnita-based health centre of Moldova to continue working
Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Centre from Varnita continues working, after the Tiraspol regime on 28 December disconnected it from the gas supply.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, the constitutional authorities undertake all measures to maintain the functionality of the Varnita-based Health Centre and the connection of the medical and sanitary institution to alternative energy resources.
„In these conditions, the centre’s administration will adjust the schedule and will optimize the working rooms, in order to provide the medical services to all its beneficiaries. Thus, in continuation, decision-makers will ensure medical services provided by six physicians, 12 medical assistants and auxiliary staff for those 15,423 beneficiaries, of whom 10,500 have residence in Bender, Tiraspol, Slobozia and other settlements from the Transnistrian region,’’ the Reintegration Policies Bureau said.
The Tiraspoltransgaz company disconnected from gas supply 12 public institutions from settlements placed in the Security Zone, controlled by the constitutional authorities – Dubasari district, Bender municipality and its neighbourhood.
Among them, there are four education institutions, one medical institution and two cultural institutions. Also, the heating supply was ceased for more public buildings from the Bender city, including for the territorial subdivisions of the police and prosecutor’s office of Moldova.
The Moldovan government informed that it monitored the situation in the region.
The disconnections take place, after the Russian giant Gazprom on 28 December notified the Moldovagaz stock company that it would no longer provide natural gas starting from 1 January 2025.
