Moldovan civil servants attend seminar on Strategic Communication

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/- On 10-11 April 2017, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry in cooperation with the European External Action Service organized a seminar on “Strategic Communication” for European coordinators of the central public institutions involved in implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, the MAEIE’s information and media relations service has reported.

The seminar aimed at contributing to development and consolidation of strategic communication skills to optimize popularization of the achievements and preventing misinformation in the context of Moldova’s European integration agenda.

In her speech, Deputy Foreign Minister Daniela Morari welcomed the joint initiatives between Moldova and EU on strengthening institutional capacity for communication and pointed out the need to involve all central public authorities to better inform citizens about European integration process.

Over 50 participants in the event were familiarized with the main communication models and techniques used by East STRATCOM team, as well as their application in local context.

EU STRATCOM team is part of the European External Action Service and was created in March 2015 to ensure effective communication in promoting EU policies and actions in the Eastern Neighborhood (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and counteract propaganda.
