Moldovan deputy minister meets Romanian ambassador

Chisinau, 05 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan received the Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita today, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

The dialogue of the officials focused on a wide range of subjects, especially on the recent developments in the Transnistrian settlement process.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister made a brief review of the recently carried out activities within the existing dialogue platforms, highlighting the main topics on the negotiation agenda and the efforts of Chisinau aimed at the sustainable solution of the issues of major interest to the population on both banks of the Dniester river.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Daniel Ionita highlighted the need to maintain constructive dynamics so as to make further progress in the regulatory process and reiterated the indispensability of the development of the Republic of Moldova – Romania cooperation on various common interest issues.
