Moldovan deputy premier meets head of the World Health Organization's office

Chisinau, 8 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today had a meeting with the head of the World Health Organization’s office in Moldova, Haris Hajrulahovic, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.     

The officials exchanged opinions on projects implemented and those underway, activities carried out in the field of health policies, prospects for cooperation, as well as possibilities of extending the assistance in the Transnistrian region, through programmes managed by WHO experts, jointly with representatives of the national competent authorities.  

The deputy prime minister thanked for the continuous support provided in the process of modernizing the public health system of Moldova. Balan stressed that WHO was a strategic partner of the government in the promotion of the structural reforms assumed.  

In the context of the topics discussed, the sides spoke out for maintaining a constructive and efficient communication in the long run.
