Energy compensation for entrepreneurs in Moldova: Entrepreneurship Development Organization's support reaches 98 million lei
A total of 1,085 entrepreneurs benefited from electricity compensation between January and August 2025. The support is part of the Compensation Programme launched by the government, with the financial backing of the European Union.
A number of 566 economic out of all entrepreneurs received compensation through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), which processed 2,516 applications amounting to approximately 98 million lei.
Another 519 entrepreneurs received support through the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), which paid compensations amounting to over 32 million lei for 1,945 applications.
The programme to compensate 50 per cent of the electricity tariff increase stays active throughout 2025. Entrepreneurs working in agriculture, forestry, fishing and manufacturing sectors can benefit from this measure.
The compensation is transferred directly to the company's bank account, based on the data provided in the application. The deadline for submission is 30 days starting from the date of the invoice’s issuance.
Entrepreneurs can submit applications 100 per cent online, either through the EVO app or the MCabinet platform. The platform also allows real-time tracking of the application's status - from submission to approval and payment.
The electricity compensation programme was launched by the government in January 2025.
