
Moldovan president hands National Prize to 2025 laureates
President Maia Sandu, alongside Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan presented the National Prize at a festive ceremony today.
The head of state congratulated the 11 laureates of this year's edition, emphasizing that Moldova needs dedicated individuals who, through their wisdom, creativity, and perseverance, inspire the entire society.
“The award you are receiving today is also a call – a call to continue to inspire, to shape, to share your experience with the younger generations. Because we need generations that believe in the power of well-accomplished work,” President Maia Sandu said.
The National Prize is granted annually to individuals who have achieved excellence in art, science, literature, cinema, culture, medicine and sports. The distinction includes a diploma, a medal and a financial reward of 100 thousand lei.
