Prime Minister Dorin Recean discussed with PACE co-rapporteurs for monitoring of Moldova Pierre-Alain Fridez and Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica. The parties talked about the government's reforms and actions focused on improving the citizens' standard of living and advancing Moldova's European agenda.
"Joining the European Union is our strategic objective, and for this, we need to work and progress in all areas and align with the standards of European states," he said.
Recean appreciated the Council of Europe's support in strengthening democracy in our country and spoke about the priorities set for the upcoming period, which, besides ensuring state security, include economic development, judicial reform and fighting corruption.
