Competent commission of Moldova's parliament does not support simple motion against Agriculture Ministry
The parliamentary commission for agriculture and food industry has turned down a simple motion submitted by 19 MPs of the faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BECS) against the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry.
The motion’s authors invoked the failure of the 2023-2030 food security Strategy, the lack of a vision and of efficient measures of support for the agro-food sector, the diminution of exports with value added and the absence of a domestic sales market for native producers.
Following the debates at the meeting, most members of the competent commission voted against the backing of the motion.
