Diaspora citizens can vote using several forms of identification
Citizens abroad can vote using multiple forms of identification in the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Moldova.
President Maia Sandu mentioned that prior registration is not mandatory for this category of citizens.
"Dear diaspora Moldovans, as we have received messages from our fellow citizens about the necessary documents for voting abroad, I remind you that prior registration is not mandatory and you can vote with one of the following documents: identity card, including temporary ones (must be valid); Moldovan passport, including expired ones. Go vote and make your voice heard wherever you are. Every vote defends Moldova!" said Maia Sandu.

In total, over 300 polling stations have been opened abroad for the parliamentary elections on September 28. The most polling stations are organized in Italy - 75, Germany - 36, France - 26, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - 24, Romania - 23.
