Moldovan parliament's Bloc of Communists and Socialists submit simple motion against Justice Ministry
The MPs of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) have submitted a simple motion against the Ministry of Justice, led by Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, at the plenary meeting today. Subsequently, the lawmakers of the parliamentary opposition walked out of the parliament hall.
The BCS deputies expressed dissatisfaction with the deplorable state of the field and announced that they joined the opinion of lawyers, analysts, former prosecutors, and other representatives of society, who demand the immediate revision of the Amnesty Law and the opening of criminal cases against all those involved in this scheme.
BCS has earlier submitted a motion against the Ministry of Education and Research, led by Dan Perciun, and another motion against the Ministry of Health, headed by Ala Nemerenco.
According to the legislation, the text of the simple motion must be submitted to the parliament speaker and is to be subjected to discussion in parliament within 14 days. The simple motion is proposed for debate, accompanied by the opinion of the competent standing commission. The opinion will be issued within a period of up to seven working days after the date of the motion’s submission.
