
New Moldovan government set to continue justice reform
Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The new government is set to continue the justice reform. This desideratum is among the priorities included in the government's action programme, presented by the candidate for the prime minister office, Valeriu Strelet, at the today parliament plenary meeting.
In this respect, the future cabinet of ministers intends to ensure continuity and completion of the reforms underway, meant to reform the prosecution's bodies, exclude political influence and enhance transparency of their activity.
Another goal refers to optimization of map of location of courts and specialization of judges, as well as the creation of specialised panels of judges, including in the courts of the first instance, in order to ensure quality of decisions, efficient aleatory distribution of files, improving management and optimization of costs to maintain courts.
The programme also includes the need to improve the mechanism of appointing and promoting judges, as well as of reviewing procedural norms and organising judicial system, in order to ensure the independence of judges and to exclude any involvement from outside in files' consideration.
The government's efforts will also be aimed at diminishing the duration of trials, decrease the need for parties to appear in the court, modernising the procedures of summoning, simplifying documentation of enforcement proceedings.
As regards the reform of prosecution's bodies, it stipulates the exclusion of political influence and enhancing transparency in their activity, as well as the ensuring of implementation of EU standards in the work. The programme also highlights the strengthening of the judicial expertise system, by specifying the statute of judicial experts and developing alternative judicial expertises.
