Air temperatures up to 33 degrees forecast in Moldova on days off; thunderstorms expected on July 19
Warm weather, with maximum temperatures of up to 33 degrees Celsius, is forecast in Moldova for July 18–19. No precipitation is expected on July 18, while on July 19, short, isolated showers accompanied by thunderstorms are possible.
According to the Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring Authority, on July 18, the sky will be partly cloudy and no rainfall is expected. On the concerned period, the maximal air temperatures will range between +26 and +33 degrees Celsius.
On July 19, the weather will become locally unstable. Isolated, short showers accompanied by thunderstorms are forecast.
During the nights, the minimum air temperatures will range between +15 and +20 degrees Celsius.
Winds will blow from variable directions, from light to moderate and atmospheric pressure will remain within normal limits.
At the same time, the Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring Authority has issued a yellow fire hazard warning for the period July 18–22, noting that high temperatures and current weather conditions favor the outbreak and spread of fires.
According to the warning, the risk applies to central areas of the country and partially to the north and south.
