Over 15,000 people employed through ANOFM

Over 15,000 people have been employed since the beginning of the year through the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Around 4,500 of the beneficiaries are unemployed (30.0%), and almost 350 are people employed for a fixed term of up to three months.

According to Minister of Labor and Social Protection Natalia Plugaru, the more than 15,000 people who have been helped to find employment confirm the importance of employment services and the support provided to those looking for a job.

“We intend to expand and improve these services so that every person can benefit from a job, and employers can more easily find the workforce they need,” said Natalia Plugaru.

Of the total number of people employed, 42.1% are women (6,343), 18.3% are aged 55 and over (2,760), 1.7% are people with disabilities (255), 0.5% are migrants returning from abroad (72), and 46 are Roma people.

The jobs were mainly in community, social and personal services (34.2%), followed by agriculture (17.5%), wholesale and retail trade (14.4%), industry (10.1%), public administration (5.8%), construction (4.0%), health and social care (3.8%), education (2.7%), and transport, storage and communications (2.2%).

In this context, ANOFM encourages jobseekers to contact the territorial employment subdivisions, where they can receive counselling, career guidance and support in finding a job.

The services are free of charge and are available both to people looking for their first job and to those who want a career change. The addresses of the territorial subdivisions can be found on the website www.anofm.md.

For additional information on employment, vacancies and employment conditions, citizens can call the toll-free number 0 8000 1000 (Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00) or consult the portal www.angajat.md.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection aims to support the employment of 25,000 jobseekers this year. In 2025, more than 20,000 people were employed through ANOFM, an increase of 20% compared to 2024.
