Residents and guests of the capital are invited today to the cultural event "China Days in Chișinău", organized by the Chișinău City Hall in partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Moldova. The event takes place in the public park "Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt" between 13:00 and 17:00, with free access for the public.

According to the organizers, the event aims to familiarize the public with China’s traditions, culture, gastronomy and innovations through a program designed for all age groups. Visitors will be able to take part in interactive activities, cultural demonstrations and artistic moments.

In the gastronomic area, visitors will be offered tastings of traditional Chinese dishes, including jiaozi, malatang, tanghulu, zongzi, baozi, noodles and fried rice, as well as Chinese tea. The tastings will be available based on free tickets, within the limits of available stock.

The program also includes an interactive cultural area, where participants can attend calligraphy demonstrations, tea ceremonies, traditional music recitals, activities dedicated to the Chinese zodiac and the "wishing tree", as well as martial arts demonstrations. Contests with prizes and recreational games will also be organized.

Visitors will also have access to a technology area, where electric vehicles and cutting-edge smart devices will be presented, including mobile phones and tablets.

Within the thematic space "Discover China", the public will be able to find information about Chinese tourist destinations, try on traditional Hanfu costumes, take part in introductory Chinese language learning activities, and discover elements of traditional Chinese medicine.

The event is organized in the context of cultural cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the People’s Republic of China and aims to promote intercultural dialogue and exchanges between the two peoples. The organizers note that the program offers the public the opportunity to discover aspects of a civilization with a history of more than 5,000 years.
