Moldovan Embassy in Israel suspends regular consular services, to provide only emergency services
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel announces that given the security situation in the State of Israel, the consular section of the embassy suspends the regular consular services and will offer only emergency services (such as travel documents or other exceptional cases).
Israeli airspace remains closed indefinitely, and the evacuation of citizens is possible exclusively through land border points towards Jordan and Egypt.
Embassy members urge Moldovans in Israel to follow shelter instructions during rocket attacks, and for additional information, they should call the emergency numbers: +972522787326 or +972527789772.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova issued an appeal to Moldovan citizens in the State of Israel, given the ongoing deterioration of the security situation in the region. Authorities have recommended leaving Israeli territory during the conflict.
Moldovan authorities have announced that they are closely monitoring developments on the ground and maintain constant contact with international partners and competent Israeli authorities to identify the safest evacuation or transit solutions.
The following border crossing points are currently open: Allenby Bridge (to Jordan), Yitzhak Rabin Crossing (to Jordan), Taba (to Egypt) and Jordan River Crossing (to Jordan).
Moldovan citizens intending to cross Israel's borders into Egypt or Jordan must comply with the entry conditions in these states and obtain visas.
