12 Moldovan citizens evacuated from Israel
A group of 12 Moldovan citizens was evacuated from the State of Israel through Egypt, with assistance provided by the Embassy of Portugal in Tel Aviv. Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Israel Alex Roitman made the statement today.
According to the ambassador, the evacuation was organized after the diplomatic mission received about 450 phone calls and over 100 emails from compatriots in Israel. By directly contacting the citizens who had previously requested evacuation, 75 Moldovans were identified, of which 12 opted for repatriation through Egypt.
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel continues to collect evacuation requests and urges citizens who wish to leave the Israeli territory to complete the online form dedicated to this process.
The evacuation operation takes place against the backdrop of the tense situation in the region.
