
Moldova goes up in Global Gender Equality Ranking; Moldovan president describes this as result showing country's progress
Moldova’s efforts in promoting gender equality have been recognized at the international level. In a post published on her page, President Maia Sandu informed that, in 2025, Moldova ranked seventh in the Global Gender Equality Ranking.
‘’A result that reflects our progress towards a society where women and men have equal opportunities in public and professional life,’’ said the head of state.
Maia Sandu emphasized that, although there are more steps to be taken, Moldova would confidently continue its efforts to build an equitable society, where everyone can fully realize their potential.
The president's message is accompanied by the hashtag #MoldovaPoate (#MoldovaCan), which has become a symbol of European aspirations.
