Fire in Botanica district of Chisinau; flames encompass vegetation field
Five teams of firefighters and rescuers are currently battling the flames that have engulfed a field of vegetation in the Botanica district of the Moldovan capital. No victims have been reported.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), a vegetation fire broke out on Traian Boulevard 23/2.
“To extinguish the fire, five teams of rescuers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found that in an open field, a large area of dry vegetation was burning,” stated the IGSU.
Presently, firefighters are trying to localize the fire. We will come up with details.
