Moldovan president expresses gratitude to theatre's people for constant effort

President Maia Sandu, on the occasion of the World Theatre Day, has watched a play titled, The Homework, staged by the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre from Balti, according to the homonymous novel by departed writer Nicolae Dabija.

„Today, on the World Theatre Day, and when the 107th anniversary of Bessarabia’s Union with Romania is marked, we express gratitude for the constant effort made by the people of theatre, promoting the history, culture and true values of our nation,’’ President Maia Sandu said.

On this occasion, the head of state awarded the honorific title of Master in Art to actresses Irina Tarus and Ala-Rusu-Blindu, as well as to choreographer Irina Formaniuc from the Vasile Alecsandri, as a token of recognition of their valuable contribution to the cultural life of Moldova.
