
Moldovan PM has meeting with new Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova
The development of cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine and the friendly relations between the two states have been discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Ukraine's Ambassador to Moldova Paun Rohovei.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean reiterated Ukraine's courage and sacrifice in the face of Russia's unjustified aggression and which protects the security of the entire region. For his part, Ambassador Paun Rohovei said that Moldova was a true friend, highlighting the huge support provided to Ukrainian refugees by Moldova, as well as the political support given internationally.
The officials referred to the collaboration in multiple dimensions, in the context of the common goal to become part of the European Union. „Through integration into the European family, both peoples will gain a more prosperous, more civilized future. And a larger European Union means more prosperity and security,” Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
In this respect, the sides highlighted the efficiency of the cooperation format between Moldova, Ukraine and Romania. The priority areas of interest are energy, infrastructure, extension of the transport network through the construction of a bridge across the Dniester River, information and cybersecurity. At the same time, there is a focus on increasing investments to enhance the resilience of defense systems.
New initiatives will also be promoted in the sectors of culture and education, so that Ukrainian refugees can easily integrate into Moldova and Ukrainians can preserve their traditions and culture.
