Meteorologists forecast weather's cooling, Yellow Code of strong wind

The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) today informed about the risk of a dangerous atmospheric phenomenon, specifically strong wind intensifications.

According to meteorologists, on 5 April afternoon till 6 April, 22:00, north-western wind intensifications are expected, with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s.

In the context, rescuers recommend avoiding places with dry trees or high-tension power lines.

“Be cautious in open areas and avoid outdoor activities during strong gusts,” recommends SHS.

At the same time, the State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a Yellow Code of atmospheric instability for April 5-9.

According to SHS, on the night of April 6, the weather will cool significantly, with rain gradually turning into sleet and even snow. On April 6, the average temperature will decrease by approximately 10 Celsius degrees.

“During the period from April 7-9, at night and in the morning, temperatures may drop to -3 degrees Celsius. Under these conditions, sleet and ice deposits will form, and roads will become icy,” meteorologists said.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous; the meteorological phenomena are usual for the country’s territory, but can temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
