Yellow heat warning in Moldova: air temperatures rise up to +34 degrees Celsius

Meteorologists today issued a Yellow Heat Warning, valid for July 18–19, across the territory of Moldova, with the exception of several districts in the northern region.

According to the Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring Authority, the maximum air temperature will reach values of +33…+34°C in the affected areas.

In the context, the authorities recommend that citizens avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours, drink sufficient water and wear light, light-colored clothing, pay increased attention to children, the elderly and people with health problems, not leave children and pets in cars parked in the sun and avoid lighting fires near fields, forests and green areas, as high temperatures favor the occurrence of fires.
