 Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - A Moldovan parliamentary delegation, headed by the chairman of the commission for foreign policy and European integration, Igor Corman, is paying an official visit to Romania on 7-10 February following an invitation by the Romanian Senate, the parliament's media relations service has said. The delegation comprises MPs Boris Vieru of the Liberal Party, Vasile Balan of the Our Moldova Alliance, Ion Butmalai of the Liberal Democratic Party and Grigore Petrenco of the Party of Communists. The Moldovan delegation will meet Senate Chairman Mircea Geoana, the head of the Senate's commission for foreign policy, Titus Corlatean, the head of the parliamentary commission for European affairs, Viorel Hrebenciuc, the head of the commission for foreign policy of the Chamber of Deputies, Attilla Karodi, as well as Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi. The delegation is also expected to meet representatives of the presidential administration and of the Department for European Affairs of the Romanian government. The sides are to discuss bilateral interparliamentary cooperation, in particular, Moldova's European aspirations.
