
Bucharest Metropolitan Library donates over 10,000 books to library in Chisinau
Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/- The Metropolitan Library of Bucharest has transferred free of charge over 10 thousand books to the Bogdan Petriceicu Haşdeu Municipal Library of Chisinau.
So far, 17,000 books have been transferred, out of 20,000 books, according to the promise made by Mayor of Bucharest Gabriela Firea on the occasion of visit to Chisinau on 17 February 2018. Until 14 October 2018, when celebrating the Day of Chisinau, 3,000 books will be transferred.
The deputy head of B.P.Hasdeu library, Elena Butucel, said that the donation of the book represents artistic literature and fields of activity.
The batch of books will be distributed to the 27 library branches, the largest part being distributed to the Onisifor Ghibu, with which the Bucharest Metropolitan Library has signed a cooperation agreement for more than 20 years.
The Bucharest Library organized a training program for 40 librarians from the B.P.Hasdeu library of Chisinau on 22-29 July.
