
Agricultural hub to be inaugurated in Moldova's town with EU's support in next summer
A community agricultural center endowed with equipment for cleaning, cooling, and processing of fruits and vegetables, as well as its own packaging line will be inaugurated with EU support in the town of Causeni in June 2025.
The Agro-Hub, which will feature energy-efficient technologies, will assist local farmers.
“The Agro-Hub will provide access to modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art technologies, facilitating income growth for small and medium enterprises; access to larger markets; expansion of production and access to quality products; creation of new jobs for citizens in Causeni and the region,” the EU Delegation in Moldova said.
During a visit to Causeni today, European Union Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks, visited the Agro-Hub.
The project, Agro-Hub Causeni: Community Infrastructure for Fruit and Vegetable Cooling and Processing, is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Causeni town hall. It is part of the Mayors for Economic Growth Facility supported by the European Union, which supports the development of cities in the Eastern Partnership countries, including Moldova.
