Moldova gets right to export Hatching eggs to Ukraine
Moldova has got the right to export hatching eggs to Ukraine. The decision was made following an audit mission carried out by Ukraine’s State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection regarding the sanitary and veterinary measures applied by the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) in the poultry sector.
According to ANSA, based on the audit results and the confirmation of compliance with sanitary, veterinary and traceability requirements applicable to international trade, three economic operators from Moldova have been listed to export hatching eggs to the Ukrainian market.
“The decision confirms the efficiency of the national control system and the capacity of domestic producers to comply with the requirements of external partners. Access to the Ukrainian market creates new opportunities for the poultry sector. Thus, it will contribute to increasing exports, diversifying sales markets, and strengthening the competitiveness of Moldovan producers,” ANSA underlined.
In Moldova, 13 collection units for eggs meant for human consumption and 13 laying hen farms are authorized. In 2025, 636.4 million eggs were produced, 1.4% more than in 2024. Thus, domestic production covers the population’s consumption needs.
Our country has had the right to export eggs to the European Union market since April 2024.
