Works of reconstruction of passenger terminal of Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau: tender procedure relaunched
The Passenger Terminal building of the Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau will undergo reconstruction works. The airport’s administration today announced the relaunch of the public tender procedure for carrying out the works.
The project provides for the partial replanning of the present spaces and their expansion, in order to modernize the airport infrastructure and adapt it to the steadily increasing passenger traffic.
The modernization project will be fully financed from the airport’s own revenues, and the works are planned in stages, without affecting the current operational activity.
Interested economic operators are invited to participate in the public procurement procedure.
The Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau returned to state management in the spring of 2023. The authorities have earlier announced the modernization of the airport’s infrastructure and the attraction of investments, in order to enhance the capacity and service quality, under a state-managed regime that is transparent and oriented toward the public interest.
Presently, the airport ranks among the best-performing airports in Europe in the category of 1–10 million passengers per year. Growth is supported by the expansion of the routes’ network and the number of airlines, which increased from 20 in 2022 to 33 in 2024.
