EU commissioner for enlargement meets representatives of Moldova's parliamentary factions
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos today met representatives of opposition parliamentary factions.
During the discussions, Marta Kos emphasized the essential role of the opposition in the accession process. She highlighted the importance of the political unity in advancing reforms, giving the example of Slovenia, where parties agreed not to politicize the implementation of the European legislation. She also encouraged open exchanges regarding the expectations and concerns of each formation.
"The goal of provisionally closing the negotiations by the beginning of 2028 is ambitious, but achievable, if the reform pace is maintained," said Commissioner Kos.
Unity and constructive dialogue are the keys to Moldova's European success, according to the European official.
