Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with French senators
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a meeting with a group of French senators, members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces of the Senate of France, on a fact-finding visit to Moldova.
During the discussions, the interlocutors addressed issues concerning the dynamics of the Transnistrian settlement process, developments in regional security, as well as the impact of the war in Ukraine on Moldova.
Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri presented the government’s priorities in the country’s reintegration process. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability and promoting confidence-building measures between the two banks of Dniester, in strict compliance with the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
Valeriu Chiveri also expressed appreciation for the constant support provided by the France for the European path of Moldova, the strengthening of institutional resilience and the support for efforts to maintain security, stability and democratic development in the region.
