Moldovan president has meetings with citizens, local authorities in Nisporeni
President Maia Sandu today paid a working visit to Nisporeni, where she met citizens, continued the dialogue on children’s safety in the online environment, and addressed, during a meeting with the district’s mayors, the reform of local public administration.
At the meeting with residents, President Maia Sandu referred to the needs of communities and the solutions required for the development of localities and the improvement of living conditions, including by making use of the benefits of European integration. Citizens also had opportunity to report the problems faced by their settlements.
At the “Boris Cazacu” Theoretical Lyceum from the Nisporeni town, a new round of debates was held on the risks in the digital space. The participants in the discussions reiterated the need to protect children on the internet and the importance of responsible behavior online. Students spoke about their experiences and ways to ensure safe internet browsing were also analyzed.
The reform of local public administration was at the center of discussions with the district’s mayors. In the context, the participants in the debates underlined the importance of effective communication with citizens about the planned changes and the benefits they will bring to communities.
