Europe Day 2026 brings us together in Great National Assembly Square: Discussions with ministers, presentations of EU‑supported programmes and activities for all ages

The Government of the Republic of Moldova

On 9 May, Europe Day, the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union invite citizens to the Great National Assembly Square to celebrate peace, unity and European values. The event will start at 13:00.

Visitors will be able to explore the stands of the Government and the ministries, where they will be informed about the transformation the Republic of Moldova is undergoing: the reform of local public administration, progress on the path towards European Union integration, as well as EU‑supported initiatives to improve the lives of all residents of our country.

In the Great National Assembly Square there will be exhibitions showcasing the culture and traditions of EU Member States. There will also be presentations of equipment and special vehicles used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the Customs Service.

In the inner courtyard of the Government, on Veronica Micle Street, ministries and subordinate agencies will offer presentations and information materials, and citizens will be able to talk to members of the Cabinet of Ministers and other officials. A special area for children and parents will also be set up in the green space near Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu‑Bodoni Street.

The day will conclude with a concert starting at 19:00.
