
Moldovan president conveys message on passing away of Pope Francis
President Maia Sandu has conveyed a message regarding the death of Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88 today morning. The head of state emphasized that Pope Francis had been a tireless promoter of compassion and fairness and his departure was a moment of reflection for the entire mankind.
Maia Sandu said that Pope Francis had dedicated his life to the values of humanity, hope and solidarity and through his personal example of modesty and humility, he had managed to bring people closer, regardless of faith, origin or status.
"Today, on the second day of Easter, the world parts with a tireless advocate of compassion and fairness. Pope Francis dedicated his life to the values of humanity, hope and solidarity, and through his personal example of modesty and humility, he managed to bring people closer, regardless of faith, origin or status," the head of state noted.
The Moldovan president stressed that Pope Francis's departure was a moment of reflection for the entire humanity.
"May the light he kindled in the hearts of so many people stays alive and guide us towards a better world," concluded Maia Sandu.
Pope Francis died at the age of 88 today morning
Pope Francis inaugurated a new age of leadership for the Roman Catholic Church, when he was elected Pope in 2013. He brought many reforms to the church, but had a reputation as a personality marked by modesty and closeness to people.
