Parliament to consider government’s proposal to lift state of emergency in energy sector on Friday
Parliament will examine the Government’s proposal to lift the state of emergency in the energy sector. The draft decision has been included on the agenda of the plenary sitting scheduled for April 24, as approved today by the Parliament Standing Bureau.
The sitting’s agenda includes ten draft normative acts, four of which are to be examined in the second reading. The documents concern the adjustment of the regulatory framework in the field of housing, the improvement of the mechanism for voluntary amalgamation of administrative-territorial units, the introduction of mandatory indication of the country of origin for food products, as well as amendments to the provisions on granting sanatorium treatment vouchers for veterans.
In the first reading, Parliament will examine legislative initiatives regarding geographical indications, guaranteed traditional specialties and optional quality terms, as well as the granting of tax and customs facilities for the implementation of the Higher Education Project. In addition, Parliament will ratify the Agreement with the International Development Law Organization on the status, privileges and immunities of the International Development Law Organization in the Republic of Moldova.
The agenda also includes a draft decision on approving the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the National Agency for Settlement of Complaints, as well as its structure and maximum staffing levels.
The plenary sitting will take place on Friday, April 24, starting at 10:00.
