President of Albania on official visit to Chișinău
President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj is on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova, at the invitation of head of state Maia Sandu. The two leaders will hold a press conference today, starting at 11:25 a.m.
The agenda of the discussions between the two heads of state will focus on deepening bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic ties, as well as mutual support in the accession to the European Union.
Albania, just like the Republic of Moldova, is a candidate country for accession to the European Union. The visit of the Albanian president to Chișinău aims to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of experience in the European integration process of both states.
On the occasion of the official visit, a concert was held in Chișinău yesterday evening, featuring soprano Ulpiana Aliaj and pianist Jusuf Beshiri. The two Albanian artists delighted the audience with a program that reflected both Albanian culture and the musical heritage of the entire continent.
Begaj will be in Chișinău from January 18 to 20 of this year.
