EU-Moldova negotiation process discussed with group of young people at government
Young European Ambassadors in the Republic of Moldova had a discussion with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.
The discussions focused on the current stage of negotiations for European Union integration and how young people can contribute to the country's European path.
“Young European Ambassadors carry their title with great responsibility. I encouraged them to continue speaking to their colleagues, parents, grandparents and community about EU values whenever they have the chance. I even invited them to join me on my almost weekly visits. Thus, they will be part of our efforts as a society in transforming and modernizing the country,” the official said.
The Young European Ambassadors (YEA) initiative is a non-political, voluntary communication network connecting and building bridges of friendship between young people from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, EU member states, and the United Kingdom. The network's goal is to raise awareness of EU cooperation with Eastern partner countries, showcase the tangible results of this cooperation, contribute to political dialogue on various issues, stimulate civic activism and work together for a better future.
The YEA initiative has involved over 2,400 young people from more than 30 different countries so far.
