Children of 136 kindergartens will benefit from new pavilions, modern play complexes, slides, swings, seesaws and balance boards. A sum of 1,336,800 dollars has been allocated for their procurement.
The kindergarten equipment is funded by the World Bank through a grant provided by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as the administrator of the Early Learning Partnership (ELP).
Thus, each institution receives goods worth about 118,000 lei. All items purchased with these funds were selected by the kindergarten administrations.
In addition to play complexes, preschool institutions have asked for the purchase of furniture, selected according to their own needs, educational robots for preschoolers, equipment and materials for sports activities, sets of toys and books to support learning through play and language development.
The kindergartens that benefited from the equipment were selected through a public competition previously conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC). At some institutions, the equipment has already been installed and outdoor activities have become more interesting.
