Moldovan President condemns Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities
The attacks launched by Russia on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure are war crimes, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu said.
In a message posted on social media, the head of state strongly condemned the strikes carried out the previous night and emphasized the need to maintain the international community’s focus on the situation in Ukraine.
“Last night’s Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure are war crimes. Moldova condemns them unreservedly. The international community must stay focused on Ukraine. This is not the time to waver,” wrote Maia Sandu.
Several regions of Ukraine were hit by Russian attacks during the night and on Saturday morning, causing casualties, building damage and fires. In Kharkiv, a missile struck a five‑story residential building. As a result of the impact, one staircase of the block was destroyed from the first to the fifth floor. Seven people were killed, including two children.
