Qatar interested in sending young people to study at 'Nicolae Testemițanu' University of Medicine
The State of Qatar is interested in establishing cooperation in the medical education by integrating students from Qatar at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy 'Nicolae Testemițanu', academic mobility and exchange of good practices. In this regard, a partnership agreement with USMF will be set up. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova Turki bin Abdulla Zaid Al-Mahmoud made the statement during a visit to the university.
USMF Rector Emil Ceban presented the delegation with the strategic objectives of the university, emphasizing internationalization, academic performance and international collaboration. The university already has over 120 external partnerships, and the openness to new collaboration is a priority.
'One of the most important objectives in the Institutional Development Strategy of USMF 'Nicolae Testemițanu' for 2020–2030 is internationalization, which represents a significant factor for continuous development and enhancing institutional visibility. So far, the university has concluded over 120 collaboration agreements with foreign partners and is open to expanding in this dimension. Another objective we are constantly focused on is academic performance: quality education of students, so they can bring us fame worldwide,' the rector said.
The rector thanked the ambassador for the interest shown in our university and reiterated 'it is an honor to collaborate with the State of Qatar, especially in recruiting candidates for studies.'
