PHOTO GALLERY // Republic of Moldova runner-up at Euro Media Cup tournament in Chișinău

The national team of sports journalists from the Republic of Moldova took second place at the fourth edition of Euro Media Cup tournament, held this weekend in Chișinău. Our country’s team reached the final of the competition, where they faced the squad of sports reporters from Azerbaijan.

The grand final ended in a draw, 1–1, but the trophy was decided by penalty shootout, where the Republic of Moldova team lost 0–2. The team from Israel finished in third place.

This year, the Euro Media Cup tournament brought together teams of sports journalists from Romania, Latvia, Hungary, Armenia, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Israel, and Azerbaijan. The competition was organized by the Sports Press Association of Moldova and has already become a tradition for the sports journalism community in the region.
