As many as 1,059 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,304 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,059 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 79,566 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 53 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –11 and medical assistants –27, auxiliary staff employees – 15.   

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 776 are in serious condition, of whom 42 patients are connected to assisted breathing. A number of 1,450 patients are in medium seriousness condition and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.   

In the context, 4,990 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 25,332 are under supervision at the domicile.  

Another 928 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 59, 220 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,866 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also the head of the department of radiology and imagery of the Residency Faculty of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, a 57-year-old woman. Fifty medical employees have died because of COVID-19 so far.
