Moldovan Border Police say 54 illegal crossings of border on 28 June

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPF) informs that it registered 54 illegal crossings of the state border on 28 June, with 73 people documented.

At the border checkpoints, the flow of people represented 66,907 crossings – with a larger number of crossings registered in the direction of exit from Moldova – 34,181.  

„As for the crossing of the border by citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 17,925 crossings were recorded, of which 9,143 entries into Moldova. At the same time, a number of 4,053 represented the crossings by Ukrainian minors,’’ reads a press release of the Border Police.    

In the last 24 hours, 18 foreign citizens were denied entrance into Moldova.  

The most demanded border crossing points (PTF) were the ones with Romania – 33,204 crossings, at the border with Ukraine – 17,167 crossings and another 16,536 crossings were recorded at the air border.  

PTF Chisinau, International Airport – 16, 536 crossings of people;
PTF Leuseni – 10, 761 crossings of people;
PTF Sculeni – 7,875 crossings of people;
PTF Cahul – 6,403 crossings of people;
PTF Otaci -  4,625 crossings of people;
Palanca joint PTF – 4,198 crossings of people;
PTF Giurgiulesti-Galati – 3,997 crossings of people. 

Border policemen recommend that travelers, before setting out, consult the Green Line of the Border Police (022 259717) or verify online the situation at the crossing points (http://border.gov.md/camere-web).
