DOC // Draft fiscal policy for 2027 submitted for public consultation
The draft fiscal policy for 2027, which was presented today by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, has been submitted for public consultation. Interested parties may submit proposals for amendments to the document until August 21.
Minister of Finance Victoria Belous urged all interested stakeholders to carefully examine the provisions of the document and to send, by August 21, substantiated proposals, comments, and objections as part of the public consultation process.
According to the official, everyone’s contribution is important for improving the draft and adopting balanced solutions in the interest of the citizens and the economy of the Republic of Moldova.
“Dear representatives of the business community, civil society, and all those interested. Today the draft fiscal policy for 2027 is presented for consultations. We invite all interested parties to carefully examine the provisions of the document and to submit by August 21 substantiated proposals, comments, and objections within the public consultation process. Everyone’s contribution is important for improving the draft and adopting balanced solutions in the interest of the citizens and the economy of the Republic of Moldova,” emphasized Victoria Belous.
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan presented today the new concept of the fiscal policy for 2027. The official stated that it is focused on four lines of action: taxing labour less, stimulating investments, taxing vices, and balancing consumption taxation. The Prime Minister underlined that the major responsibility of fiscal policy is to bring balance and ensure fair taxation, as well as social solidarity.
