VIDEO // Investments in government securities exceed 1.3 billion lei via eVMS.md platform in Moldova
Citizens have invested over 1.3 billion lei in government securities through the eVMS.md platform in the two years since its launch. On this period, 20 subscription sessions have been organized, and interest paid to investors has exceeded 60 million lei.
According to the Finance Ministry, interest in investing in government securities has exceeded the available supply by more times. At the same time, two of the bonds issued through the platform have reached maturity and have been fully redeemed.
So far, the platform has more than 8,500 active users and almost 3,800 single investors, who have carried out over 16,000 transactions. The investors’ community includes individuals aged between 18 and 84.
The Finance Ministry notes that the platform has been continuously developed to facilitate public access to investments. Thus, starting from April 2025, government securities issues became monthly, and since April 2026, each session has included bonds with maturities of one, two, three and four years. Since May 2026, a continuous subscription mechanism has also been introduced, offering investors greater flexibility.
The Ministry announces that it will continue to develop the platform and expand citizens’ access to modern investment instruments, in order to contribute to the development of the financial market and to strengthen the investment culture in Moldova.
The eVMS.md platform was launched in 2024 and allows individuals to invest online in government securities without intermediaries. Presently, a new subscription session is open until August 10, 2026, and the next one will take place during August 10–24, 2026.
