MDED: Economic integration into European single market discussed with business representatives
Economic integration into the European single market is a strategic priority for the Republic of Moldova, and efforts in this direction are supported daily. In perspective of becoming a member of the EU, the authorities are boosting preparations to meet European requirements and standards.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization organized a working meeting today with business representatives, in the context of developing negotiation positions that will guide the accession process. Representatives of professional associations, expertise centers, and economic analysis institutes participated in the discussions.
The topics addressed essential areas for integration into the European single market: the free movement of goods, employees, and capital, external relations, company law, intellectual property rights, competition policy, financial services, consumer protection, and public health.
The discussions played a crucial role in the process of alignment with the EU acquis and in defining an efficient, transparent, and fair negotiation framework. The goal is clear: to build sustainable and beneficial economic integration for all citizens and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Moldova.
