DOC New deputy head of SIS appointed
Dumitru Florea will serve as deputy head of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS). The decree, signed by head of state Maia Sandu was published in the Official Journal today.
The decree came into force on 13 May.
Dumitru Florea held the position of head of directorate within the institution and was a member of the SIS College.
The position became vacant after former deputy head Sergiu Druță submitted a resignation request. He was released from his position on 1 April 2025.
