EU Commissioner in Congaz, Gagauzia

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos visited the southern region today, the largest village of Moldova - Congaz, Gagauzia. There, she visited the ethnographic tourist complex "Gagauz Sofrasi," a business developed with the support of the European Union through a grant of about 40,000 euros.

The complex recreates the atmosphere of a traditional Moldovan house: stoves, wooden windows and natural wool rugs - a space that keeps the local identity and culture alive.

"Gagauz Sofrasi" is proof that female entrepreneurs can succeed. On this occasion, the Commissioner discussed with female entrepreneurs from Gagauzia, Taraclia and Cahul about their challenges and the support offered by the European Union for business development, according to the EU Delegation to Chisinau.

Marta Kos emphasized that investing in women is investing in the community, and the European Union supports their ideas, courage and initiatives.
